Can we have several Enneagram types?

For most people, no, and it’s for the best. Since, originally an enneagram type is not a personality type but a compulsive circle. Managing one is difficult enough so managing several... If that were to happen it would probably be during an extended “unhealthy” period, during which other types’ compulsion can incorporate themselves into the base type.

However, you can absolutely have personality traits from different Enneagram types, and it is often the case! We can all develop all the personality traits of all the types, without being a part of those types. Especially when we are “healthy”, when we are more “masters” and at peace with ourselves.
